Defensive Tactics

These classes cover mindset, use of force tools, and proper application of force in order to protect and defend yourself and those God has placed around you.

Each aspect of Defensive Tactics training melds skills and proper mindset to build confidence and competence for day to day life and for dealing with threats of force, should they arise.

USE OF FORCE TRAINING (4 HOUR CLASS)

This class covers the bigger picture of using force, including, but not limited to: the precursors to using force, the indicators that force is necessary, the amount of force needed, and the ramifications of using force. Scenario training is highly recommended as an added element to increase retention.

SITUATIONAL AWARENESS TRAINING (4 HOUR CLASS)

This class covers identifying the skills necessary for awareness and preparedness. We will present and discuss all aspects and principles of situational awareness, and practical ways to implement them. Scenario training is highly recommended as an added element to increase retention.

PERSONAL PROTECTION TRAINING (10 HOURS MINIMUM, BROKEN UP AS NEEDED)

Personal Protection (self-defense) training teaches the skills and mindset needed to protect and defend yourself and those God has placed around you. We cover awareness, tools, targets, escapes and more. This training is designed to be taught as a series of classes, building skills, confidence, and coordination to the point of desired competency.

The classes start with the basics; stance, balance, re-positioning, and re-direction. As classes progress, we will cover personal weapons, preferred targets and desired responses, escaping or capturing and more.

INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION/DE-ESCALATION TRAINING (4-8 HOUR CLASS)

Communication is one of the most powerful tools we have in our personal protection arsenal. We use our words all the time but may not see them as the potential defensive and offensive tools that they can be. Mastering these tools takes training, focus, and time.

This class involves interactive discussion and discovery, where all participants contribute as we talk about the fundamental principles of communication, how the human brain works, and how best to de-escalate hostile, violent, or escalated situations. Scenario training is highly recommended as an added element to increase retention.

TASER TRAINING (2-4 HOUR CLASS)

The Taser-type tools available today are technological wonders that can, if implemented properly, cause neuro-muscular incapacitation (sensory overload), creating the opportunity to escape or control your attacker.

This training covers the function, operation, and potential effectiveness of these Taser-type tools. Scenario training is highly recommended as an added element to increase retention.

IMPACT WEAPON TRAINING (4-8 HOUR CLASS)

Impact weapons have been used for centuries to defend and/or assist in hand to hand combat. When trained and utilized properly, these tools can be tremendous assets in your self-defense arsenal.

This training covers the identification, function, operation, and potential effectiveness of impact weapons. Scenario training is highly recommended as an added element to increase retention.

PEPPER PROJECTILE TRAINING (2-4 HOUR CLASS)

Pepper derivatives have been implemented as weapons as far back as the 14th and 15th centuries, and when used appropriately, have proven to be very effective. There are a variety of types and propellants on the market today.

This training covers the identification, function, operation, potential effectiveness, and decontamination of oleo-resin capsicum weapons. Scenario training is highly recommended as an added element to increase retention.
